Sheila Ann Christensen, 75, of Florida passed away quietly surrounded by family in Romeo on Oct. 20, 2017.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1942 in Flint to the late Lyle and Arla (nee Stewart) Covey. Her hometown is Oscoda, but she has been wintering or residing in Florida for the past 15 years.

Preceded in death are her parents, Lyle C. Covey and Arla P. Covey, along with her husbands Gary B. Lightcap and Frederick J. Christensen.

She is survived by her brothers, Stewart (Shelby) Covey and Jerry (Sandy) Covey; friend Charles Furtaw; children Brian (Patricia) Lightcap and Bradley Lightcap; stepchildren Eva Christensen and Kerri (Jeff) Ruland; and grandchildren Kirk (Gabrielle) Lightcap, Cole Lightcap, Crystal Ruland, Eric Ruland and Jessica Ruland.

Sheila worked for many years at Northland Area Federal Credit Union. She had a talent for quilting and cherished quilting with her friends. She also enjoyed Tigers spring training games, traveling, reading, cooking, playing games and spending time with family, friends and her dog, Daisy.
