He and his three wives were buried in the Boitnott Cemetery, located about three miles east of Boones Mills, Virginia.
Henry, Sr. was a farmer, first owning a a tract of land on White Oak Bottom Creek. He sold this and bought land Maggody Creek. This became the homeplace of all of his children and remained in the family until a few years ago. Henry, Sr. had nine children, James T.; Henry Jr.; Christopher; Obediah; John P.; William H.; Martha Ann; Lou Ellen and Alda.
