Loraine Baird Law passed away peacefully December 5, 2018. She was born in Willard, Box Elder County, Utah on September 5, 1920 to Malcolm James Baird and Loraine (Lola) James Baird. She lived in a pioneer home built by her grandparents. She married Jay Basil Law on May 8, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. After Jay returned from serving in the Navy for World War II they moved to Avon, Utah. She also lived in Garland, Utah and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Loraine had many wonderful opportunities in her life. She sang in The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, served as a hostess at the Church Office Building and was an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Loraine taught Homemaking on a Junior High and Senior High School level. Later in her life she earned her Masters Degree from the University of Utah and taught on the University level. She took pride that her ancestral home in Willard is on the State and National Historical Registry.

She loved having her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren come and visit her. Her influence will be felt by many. She is survived by her 4 children, Suzanne, Craig, Carl and Cami and their spouses plus 18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Kent.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00pm at Holbrook Mortuary (3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah). Friends may visit with the family from 11:30am to 12:30pm prior to the service. Interment: Brigham City Cemetery at 3:30pm following the funeral.
