Funeral services for Elizabeth Comer will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Roy Prather will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018, with the family present, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Comer passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in Longview.

Ms. Comer was born on October 19, 1928 in Teague, Texas. She lived in Malakoff for over 40 years where she worked as a nurse’s aide at Cedar Lake Nursing Home and later in Childress, Texas. She loved to cook and care for her children and grandchildren. Ms. Comer was also a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Freestone.

She is survived by five children, Everett Dickens of Childress, Sandy Ward of Madisonville, Sally Box & husband Ricky of McKinney, Vickey Rampy & husband Robert of Childress, and Richard Comer of Longview; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Mac Comer, Sr.; one son, Billy Mac Comer, Jr.; one daughter, Teala Comer; her parents, Garey & Elizabeth Gay; and one brother, Garey Gay, Jr.
