A EDGAR SNOKE. 76 Chambersburg died Sunday in the Chambersburg Hospital after a lengthy illness
He was born Oct. 29, 1902 in Culbertson, a son of the late Aaron Lutz and Clara May (Long) Snoke

He had been employed for a number of years by the Cumberland Valley Railroad in Harrisburg and then returned to Franklin County where he was engaged in farming.
He was joint owner and manager of the Garfield Extension Telephone Co for many years until it was sold to the Bell Co in 1942.
He served on the Greene Township School Board for 28 years from 1937 until 1954. He was president of the Chambersburg Area Joint School Board in 1959 a position he held for eight years. He also served as cafeteria manager following his presidency. He retired from the school board activities in 1968. He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church chambersburg, the Men's brotherhood, the church building committee and ta trustee of the church.
He is survived by his wife Grace (Reber) Snoke, two daughters, Mrs Dwight L Fortna and Mrs. Joseph I Bolich.
