CHESHIRE — A funeral Mass for Mrs. Lillian A. (Joyal) Coer, 85, of 371 Oak Avenue, was said Monday, January 10, at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Watertown. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
Mrs. Coer, widow of Harold K. Coer Sr., died Saturday, January 8, at Waterbury Hospital. She was born September 10, 1908, in Prospect, a daughter of the late Donald and Eugenia (Rioux) Joyal. She lived in Cheshire for more than 47 years. She was brought up and raised in Prospect and worked for many years at the Ball and Socket Manufacturing Co., Cheshire, before she retired in 1973.
She leaves three sons, Harold K. Coer Jr. and Raymond E. Coer, both of Waterbury, and Robert A. Coer of White Mills.Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Margaret) Mazeika of Oakville, Mrs. Giles (Eleanor) Charland of Watertown and Mrs. Joseph (Louise) Donlan of Pamona,N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Leon (Helen) Plouffe of Bristol; 20 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
