Fred Neal Allen

    Fred Neal Allen passed away on December 4, 2018 in the loving arms of his wife of 56 years and eternal companion, Judy Petersen Allen.

    Fred was born in Delta, Utah on February 1, 1944 to Fred R. Allen and Thisbe Allen. He moved to South Jordan in second grade, where he met his best friend Judy. He attended Bingham High School where he exceled at football, wrestling and track and field.

    He married his sweetheart & best friend Judy on April 18, 1962, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

    Fred was a devoted father to his boys. He taught them to work hard and to be respectful of women. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, and in his later years loved to ride the ATV with the family.

    Fred worked hard to provide for his family. He was employed by Kennecott Copper while also running a family landscaping company. He retired from Kennecott Copper after 38 years of service. He also worked for Winder Dairy where he retired after 27 years.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Ted Pierce, Jerry Pierce, Hazel Pierce Nelson and Margaret Allen, his son Kenneth Ray Allen, and his grandsons Trevor Osten Allen & Wyatt Allen.

    He is survived by his wife Judy, his sisters Kay (late Rex Frehner) & Charlotte (John Archer), his sons Richard (Jennifer), David (Pam), Gary (Stephanie), Andrew (Leslie), 20 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

    Funeral Services will held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the LDS Church located at 10124 S. 1300 W, South Jordan, Utah. There will be a viewing at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:45 am. Interment at South Jordan City Cemetery.
