Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Woodrow Hugh Leonard, age 81, returned to his loving Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 12, 1998 at Utah Valley Hospital.
He was born April 9, 1917 in Huntington, Utah to David Charles and Henrietta Elizabeth Collard Leonard. He married Jane Cannon on December 31, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Hugh was a registered pharmacist and managed Walgreen drugstores for 16 years. He then worked at the Medical Center Pharmacy and retired from Smith Drug in American Fork in 1984.
Hugh loved to golf and he and his wife, Jane, spent many happy hours on the golf course at Alpine County Club. Hugh was an accomplished musician. He financed his college education by playing in dance bands. He brought many hours of pleasure to his family by playing the organ or the trumpet in his home.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, son, David (Payson), daughter, Laurie (Tom) Atkins (Orem), 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister and brothers: Geneal, Collard, Ross, twin brother, Drew, Foster and Ferris, who were also twins, also by a grandson, Tracy J. and a great-grandson, Tracy C.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, November 14, 1998 at noon at the Orem City Cemetery.
