Mrs. Myra Law Weaver, wife of J. Riddle Weaver, died suddenly Monday morning at about 4:30 o'clock at her home on Elm street, South Canonsburg, aged fifty-seven years. Mrs. Weaver had been in poor health for a year past, suffering from rheumatism. Up until within a few days no alarm was felt over her condition, but during the past week the disease took a more serious turn, and affected her in the region of her heart. Her death is attributed directly to rheumatism of the heart. She is survived by her husband, J. Riddle Weaver, and one daughter, Miss Jean Law Weaver. She was also the mother of another child, Mysie Giffin Weaver, but she died during the 1901. Mrs. Weaver was a daughter of Thomas and Jane Law of Allegheny. Her father died years ago, but her mother and two sisters still live. The mother has been making her home part of the time with her son-in-law, J. Riddle Weaver. One of the two sisters, Mrs. F. M. Dunlap, lives at Youngstown, O., and the other, Mrs. Rebecca Brennen, lives in Allegheny. The deceased had been a resident of Canonsburg, excepting for a year or two, for twenty-five years. During that time, she has won a host of friends, who will learn with sadness of her sudden death. During all her residence in this community she has been a consistent member of the Chartiers United Presbyterian church.
Funeral services will be held at the family home, corner Elm street, and Jefferson avenue, South Canonsburg, at noon, Wednesday, February 21. Interment private at a later hour.
