CRAMOND
DEATH OF A HORTICULTURIST – Mr Charles Comfort was laid to rest in Cramond Churchyard on Friday last amid tokens of respect from a great body of members of the seed trade and gardeners. A native of Alford, he was for many years gardener to Mrs Haig of Broomfield. He contributed largely to horticultural literature, and was the Scottish representative on one of the leading gardening weeklies. During his sojourn at Broomfield he was a very active member of the U.F. Church of Cramond, where he held many offices. Since his retirement he lived in Musselburgh.
