Services honoring the life of Mr. Barnes will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Dan Story will officiate.
Born November 18, 1934 in Pierce County, Georgia, Mr. Barnes was the son of the late Noel Edward Barnes and the late Mary Blalock Barnes.
He will be remembered as a hardworking man with a big heart that loved his family dearly. Mr. Barnes was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Worth County and was an ordained deacon for over forty-five years. He also served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wonnie Barnes; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Judy Barnes of Albany and Terry and Linda Barnes of Albany; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Hall & Hall Funeral Home.
