Betty was born on May 6, 1940, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Abraham and Rachel Vredenburg. From 1942 to 1944, she was in hiding, but was eventually taken to Westerbork. From there, she was deported to Auschwitz, where she was murdered upon arrival on May 22, 1944. She had just turned four years old.
