He was born February 26, 1883, in South Shields, England, and was a member of the First Methodist Church, Canonsburg. Mr. Kerrigan was a superintendent of the Fort Pitt Bridge Works, retiring in 1968. He was past commander of the Chartiers Lodge 297, F&AM and the Knights Templer Commandry No. 3, of Washington. He also was a member of the Washington Chapter, 150, RAM, the Washington Council No. 1, R&SM, and the Scottish Rite and Syria Temple, both of Pittsburgh.
In 1910, he married Elizabeth Baumgardner, who died January 22, 1965.
Surviving are one son, Walter Kerrigan, of McMurray; two brothers: Joseph, of Florida, and George, of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Margaret Gray, of Coraopolis; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 30, at 1 p.m., in the Griffith Funeral Home, West Pike Street, in charge of Rev. Ralph Arnold. Burial in Oak Spring Cemetery.
