Services for Mrs. Affey May Scott,85, 965 E. Moduc, will be at 2pm Thursday in the Benjamin Funeral Chapel. Rev. Larry Krueger assisted by Rev. Harvey Hardin, will conduct the services.
Burial will be in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service.
Mrs. Scott died Monday at the Nowata General Hospital.
She was born Sept. 30th,1895, in Douglas Co. Missouri., the daughter of Arthur Albert Cook and martha Jane Wilson Cook. She and Valas Dossen Scott were married July 12th, 1913, at Vinita. He died Sept 3rd,1948.
Mrs. Scott was a long time resident of Alluwe and Nowata. She was a member of the Nowata First Christian Church, was active in a quilting group at Nowata Gardens, and was a former active member in home demonstration groups.
Surviors include a son, Leon Earl Scott of Nowata; a daughter. Mrs. Huron (Virgie Louise) Nix of Alluwe; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Elvina Falling of Vinita and Stella Virginia Scott of Nowata.
