June H. Reehl, 84, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at The Heritage at Sagewood, in Grand Island, with family at her side. June was born June 17, 1934, in Argentina, South America, to Julius and Elizabeth (Voepel) Bauer. June was baptized and confirmed into The Missouri Synod Lutheran faith. She completed her nursing degree at Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. It was there that she met Rev. John D. Reehl. They married and to this union four children were born. June was a dedicated wife and supporter of Rev. Reehl and his ministry. June's retirement from nursing coincided with her husband's retirement. Rev. John D. Reehl died November 18, 2017.

Survivors of her immediate family include her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen (Bruce) Tiedeman Julia (John) Hoesche, sons and daughter-in-law, John (Kristine) Reehl II, Theodore Reehl, brothers and sister-in-law, Joe Bauer and James (Marilyn) Bauer, sisters, Elizabeth Peterson and Sadie Frerking. Others left to cherish her memory include her 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. June is preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant brother, Julius Bauer, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Adam Snoberger will officiate. Private burial has occurred. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
