Geneva Estelle Dycus was born October 8, 1925 in Kuttawa, Kentucky, the daughter of Leland Guthrie Dycus and Lily Irene Anderson Dycus. Geneva graduated from Butler High School in Princeton, Kentucky.
On July 5, 1946, Geneva married World War II veteran William (Bill) Alvin Francis, and moved to Evansville, Indiana where she was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Geneva worked for Loge News Company, later known as Tri-State Periodicals, and retired from Tri-State Periodicals after several decades as an Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper. They later moved to Plainfield, Indiana.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband William Alvin Francis, brother Andrew Dycus, and sisters Velta Dycus, Dorothy Gray, and Velma Oneta Kelly. Survivors include a sister, Ruby Christine Smith of Westchester Ohio. Geneva and William have three daughters: Wilma Leigh Francis and Marcia Nessle, both of Plainfield, Indiana, and Gloria de Pasquale of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William and Geneva have four grandchildren: Benjamin Francis Johns, Zachary Mills Johns, Francesca Rose de Pasquale, and Jennifer Renn Nessle. William and Geneva also have three great-grandchildren: Annabelle Lee Johns, Juliette Rose Johns, and Josephine Mae Johns.
Visitation for Geneva Francis will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Friday, November 30th. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton, Kentucky. Burial will be at Chestnut Oaks Cemetery in Lyon County, Kentucky.
