Ruth was married to the late George Paul Boler for 50 years. She was the companion to the late Leo Menard for 14 years. She graduated from Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in 1946 as a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps. She was a Registered Nurse in the OPD/ER at Truesdale Hospital for the majority of her career. She retired in 1987 from Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was highly respected for her nursing expertise.
Ruth was loved and will be truly missed by her daughters, Judith Ann Boler Serra (Robert Serra), Susan F Boler Eddy (Mark Babcock), and Joyce M Bourdon (Keith Bourdon); and grandchildren, David Courtemanche, Ryan Courtemanche, Kurt Bourdon, Jillian Bourdon, Michael Serra, and Peter Serra, and six cherished grandchildren.
Ruth had a passion for dressmaking, knitting, and crafts. She was also an avid bingo player and enjoyed ballroom dancing. There will be two Celebrations of Life for family and friends: on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 12-3 PM at High Point Clubhouse, 292 High Point Boulevard, Delray Beach, Florida, 33445 and on her birthday, April 24, 2019 a Mass and burial service will be held at St. Bernard's Church, 30 South Main Street, Assonet, Massachusetts 02780, followed by a reception with time to be announced.
