Beatta "Bea" D (Applegate) Smith
NOVEMBER 30, 1923 – NOVEMBER 25, 2018

Beatta (Bea) Applegate Smith, 94, of North Richland Hills, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Bea will always be remembered as a loving, caring Christian woman to all who knew her. She was born on November 30, 1923 in Keltner, Missouri to Lenza and Leota Applegate.

In 1984, Bea retired from the Birdville Independent School District after 25 years of service, which then provided her the opportunity to travel with her friends, to volunteer at her church - North Richland Hills Baptist Church, and to devote time to her family.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Oliver E. Smith, Jr. and is survived by her 3 daughters, Karen and her husband James Dixson (Fort Worth, Texas), Kathy Duer (North Richland Hills, Texas) and Kay and her husband Jack Beacham (Arlington, Texas).

Bea will also be fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren: Lisa, Jay, Joey, Michael, Jeffrey, Marcus, Mickey, and Amanda, and her 19 great-grandchildren: Parker, Bennett, Mia, Emily, Oliver, Jacob, Jaxson, Katelyn, Mackenzie, Brady, Megan, Kaycee, Liam, Caroline, Callan, Ashtyn, Zachery, Madison, and Emalyse.

A visitation and reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034. A service celebrating Bea’s life will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, with interment to follow.
