He married Ina Mae Brown in Eliasville, Texas February 26, 1939. He was the father of Jerry Lynn, Carolyn and Ina Jean (Jeanna).

Services for Hubert Lynn “Hob” Scott were held at Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Olney officiated by Rev. Jim Ratliff, the pastor and Dr. Joe M. Brown of Odessa.
Mr. Scott had lived in Graham for several years before moving to Olney in 1977. He was a retired butcher and member of the Church of Christ.
Survived by his wife; two daughters - Mrs. Carolyn Penn and Mrs. Jeanna Blassingame; one son - Jerry Scott; his mother - Mrs. John H Scott; two sisters - Ms. J.M. Sellers and Mrs. Noma Fraley; three brothers - Don Scott, Coyt Scott and Owen Scott; seven grandchildren.
