⬥︎Jack H. Berger, 86, former owner of Fashion Furniture, died peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2000, at home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Independence Chapel in Greenwood Mausoleum. Officiating: Rabbi Ralph Mecklenburger. Mr. Berger will be entombed in the Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: he will not lie in state.

Memorials: the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Jack's name to Beth-El Congregation; or to a charity of choice.

A native of Detroit, Mich., he was born on March 14, 1914, the son of Henry and Florence Heim Berger. He was a longtime resident of Fort Worth. Jack was a past president of the Rotary Club of West Fort Worth and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of Beth-El Congregation and Colonial Country Club.

Survivors: Wife, Marie Freidman Berger of Fort Worth; children, Joan Berger Rosen and her husband, Sam, Susie Berger Kline and Steve Kline, all of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Leslie Rosen Walstrom and her husband, Terry, of Fort Worth, Sherrie-Lynn Rosen Wiedermann and her husband, Gil, of Dallas, Steven Kline Jr. and his wife, Julie, of Fort Worth and Stacy Kline Gansky and her husband, Eric, of Fort Worth; brother, Richard Berger of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and ten great-grandchildren.
