He was sentenced by Van Nuys Superior Court Judge, Darlene Schempp, who convicted him on 10 October of involuntary manslaughter for the 1986 death of his mother after a non-jury trial, and recieved three years probation on 28 November 1989.
His death was due to complications of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
