Mrs. Emma F. Marcotte, 65, died at the family residence, 2126 Rapides avenue, on January 23, 1945, at 1:30 p.m. She is survived by her husband, A.V. Marcotte; one daughter, Mrs. C.F. Bonneville, both of Alexandria; three sons, Albert, U.S. Army; Wilmore and Otride Marcotte, of Alexandria; 7 sisters, Mrs. L.C. Marcotte and Mrs. Inez Gauthier of Hessmer, Mrs. A.L. Bordelon of Bunkie; Mrs. Bertha Charrier of Alexandria; Mrs. Leona Evans of West Virginia; Mrs. Leon Lopex of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Eugenie Balls of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Albert Franks and John Franks of Bunkie, and Robert Franks, U.S. Army, Camp Claiborne.

The funeral services were held from the family residence, with services at St. Rita's Catholic Church. Interment was in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville. Kramer Funeral Home was in charge.
