Obituary for Georgia Elizabeth "Betty" Fuller Crutchfield
Mrs. Georgia Elizabeth “Betty” Fuller Crutchfield, age 94, of College Park, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018. She was born November 23, 1924 to the late Warner Emory and Willie Maud Fuller.
She married her husband, Ervin Crutchfield on November 13, 1944 who proceeded her in death on October 22, 1988. They had 44 good years together. Betty accepted Christ and was baptized at Perkerson Baptist Church in South Atlanta. At Perkerson, she was a leader for the Girls’ Auxiliary. When the family moved to Cliftondale, they joined Enon Baptist in 1960. For years she kept the church nursery, enjoying being with the children each week. She remained active at Enon Baptist until she no longer was able to travel due to medical issues and Alzheimer’s.
She is survived by her children, Nathan Crutchfield and his wife, Bonnie, Gayland Crutchfield and his wife, Sarah, Donna Toms and her husband, Joe; grandchildren, Brian Crutchfield, Lori Crutchfield(Warren), Jennifer Johnson (Craig), Matthew Crutchfield, Sarai Riffel (David), Luke Toms; great grandchildren, Colton and Logan Johnson, Felicity, Loren, and Zachary Riffel; special caregivers, Joyce Shannon, and Janice Johnson.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Don Angel and Rev. David Riffel officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
