Mrs. Minnie M. Merli, 73, of 2137 Dogwood Lane died Friday after a lengthy illness. Services were Saturday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Raleigh, Mrs. Merli lived in the Jackson Area for the past 25 years. She had also lived in Illinois. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, Stoney Ainsworth of Jackson; sisters, Mrs. Mertis(sic Myrtis) Ainsworth, and Mrs. Faye Prestridge, both of Jackson, Mrs. Winner (sic WInnie) Blakeney of Florida and Mrs. Lucille Posey (sic Hosey) of Jackson; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
