William H. Curran died peacefully surrounded by his family at the hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 16th at the age of 76. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Patricia of Indianapolis, Indiana; his daughter Amy and son and law Jeff of Madison, Wisconsin; his son Andrew and grandson Raef of Portland, Maine. He is survived by his siblings Margaret M. Stroman (Michael), Dennis J. Curran (Elaine), Catherine A. Curran, and John E. Curran (Beth) and several nieces and nephews. Pre deceased by sister, Mary Ann (David) Wilkins.

Bill was born in Buffalo, New York of John and Margaret Curran. He joined the Navy after high school and upon his return attended Canisius College where he received a B.S. in Accounting. Bill moved to Syracuse to work at Price Waterhouse where he began his financial career as a CPA, and earned an MBA from Syracuse University. He married Patricia in 1966 and over the course of the next 20 years they raised their family and he contributed to the community, most notably as the Chairmen of the Red Cross. In 1986 the couple moved to Indianapolis where Bill served as COO of Ice Miller, Donadio, and Ryan and continued to be an active member of the community through generous support of numerous humanitarian and artistic organizations including serving as President of the Board of Marquette Manor. In 2001 he joined Marian University as CFO, where he utilized his keen financial and managerial talents to guide that organization which was one of his proudest accomplishments.

Bill was a loving and loyal husband and father who enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sage advice, dry sense of humor, and numerous contributions to the lives of the many people who had the opportunity to know him.

A viewing will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church in Indianapolis from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday June 19th and at 10 a.m. June 20th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 20th at the same location. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the William H. Curran Scholarship Fund at Marian University, Marquette Manor Foundation or charity of one's choice.
