Merton F. Bellows, 82, of Rochester, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Alexander, after a short illness. Mr. Bellows was born in Halifax, Vt., on Aug. 16, 1882, a son of Frank S. and Myra E. (Copeland) Bellows, and lived for a time in Wilmington, Vt. His wife, Mrs. May (Titus) Bellows, a native of Wilmington, died in September, 1964. Surviving besides his daughter, with whom he made his home, are a son, Harvey W. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. M. R. Micott of Green Street, Brattleboro, Vt. Mr. Bellows graduated from Bliss Business College in North Adams, Mass., and taught school at Tarrytown, (N.Y.) High School for 40 years. The funeral will be in Rochester and, following cremation, committal will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington.
