Graveside services for Buddy Clute, age 76, of Madisonville, Texas will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Park Cemetery in Madisonville. Crystal Campbell will officiate the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home.

Donald Ray “Buddy” Clute was born March 4, 1942, in Madisonville, Texas. His parents were W.L. and Mable (Walrath) Clute. He lived all of his life in Madisonville and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Buddy worked as a guard for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. He enjoyed traveling in his R.V., welding, woodworking and gardening. Buddy especially enjoyed cooking, baking and grilling bar-b-que. He liked to invent new recipes and have as many people as possible over to cook for. One of Buddy’s prized possessions was sign in his house that read “Clute Café”.

Buddy passed away November 17, 2018, at his home in Madisonville. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Calvin Clute and sister, Joan Rush.

Surviving family members include wife, Peggy Clute of Madisonville; daughters, Lisa Clute of Austin and Jennifer Ivy (John) of New Braunfels; sisters, Marie Nash of Leona and Linda Carpenter (T.W.) of Houston and grandchildren, Matthew & Mackenzie Ivy. Buddy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
