FUNERAL OF MRS. MARY BENSINGER HELD TUESDAY

Mrs. Mary Bensinger died at the home of her son, three miles north of Ovid, Saturday evening at 10 o'clock. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock at the home of her son, Joel Bensinger. Mary A. Bensinger was born in Schuyskill County, Penn, Dec. 11th 1831 and died Dec. 4th, 1915 aged 83 years, 11months and 22 days.
When a young girl she moved with her parents to ohio. she was united in marriage to Mr. William Bensinger in 1852. five children, four sons and one daughter, were born to this union, two of whom preceded her to the eternal world.

In 1861 the family moved to Allegan county, Michigan, returning to Ohio in 1863. In 1866 they came to Clinton county, Mich., where she resided until her death, Mr. Bensinger having passed away in March, 1898.

In early life Mrs. Bensinger became a christian and lived a life of constant trust. She was a devoted wife, an affectionate mother and a kind neighbor.

She is survived by three sons, Edward of Ionia, Joel and Israel of Ovid, four sisters and one brother of Ohio and one sister, Mrs. Thomas Buck of Ovid, besides twenty-four grand children, forty-four great grand children, four great great grand children, and a host of friends to mourn her departure.
