Elizabeth is a daughter of Anders Adamson and Catharina Margretta Mattson - their fifth child and the last child born in Sweden. Her parents had accepted the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1881. They immigrated to Utah with their five children in 1884. Elizabeth was just one year old.
Arriving in New York, they took the train to Chicago, Council Bluffs, and Ogden, arriving on June 29, 1884. From there they went to Richmond in Cache Valley where Elizabeth grew up.
On March 18, 1914, in Seattle, Washington, Elizabeth married Raymond Folsom Brown. They were in San Francisco, California in 1930, Vallejo California in 1940, before returning to Utah.
