"A. H. Maclin of San Angelo, retired section foreman, died in Marlin last week and was buried at Copperas Cove beside his wife. He was the father of Mrs. W. R. Harmon and made his home with Fireman and Mrs. Harmon. He had been with the track department of the G. C. & S. F. at Temple, Belton, Lampasas, and towns in that area for about 20 years before coming to San Angelo in 1913. Here he was section foreman and also inspector in the yards before retiring on account of ill health in 1930. He was a fine gentleman who had the friendship and respect of all the railroad people and the railroad fraternity, especially his friends from the old Orient days, join in sympathy for his family."
From "Puffing Down the Santa Fe" column by J. B. Davenport in the San Angelo Standard-Times, October 27, 1940.
