Harold A. Brothers, 73, of Massena, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Harold was born in Potsdam, NY on December 30, 1944.

Harold is a 1963 graduate of St. Lawrence Central. After graduation, he went to work at ALCOA for 36 ½ years starting in the potrooms and ending as a heavy equipment operator.

Harold was extremely active in the community: he was a devoted Mason and Shriner (President of the Ups & Downers parade unit), a member of the AMVETS #4, American Legion #79, Moose #1110, the Elks Club, and the ALCOA 25-year Club. You could also find him playing golf in the ALCOA league, fishing for walleye on the St. Lawrence River, or tending to his garden and apple trees. He also really enjoyed wintering in Ocala, FL.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra (M Blair m.1964); his son Donald (Alison) Brothers of Spring Hill, FL; his daughter Tracy (Wayne) Barney of Cape Canaveral, FL; and grandchildren Justin, Ashlyn, Jordan and Hunter. He is also survived by a brother, Clyde, and a sister, Joan, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Glenwood and Ruth, brothers Clifford and Vernon and sister Joyce.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Spring in Massena at the family's convenience.
