Gaynor "Lee" Mills, 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018.

He was the son of Roy W. Mills (1901-1969) of Roanoke County, Virginia and Margaret Pauline Jones Mills (1914-1994) of Indiana.

Paternal Grandparents: Robert Lee Mills (1865-1929) of Roanoke County, Virginia and Annette “Nettie” Fralin Mills (1879-1902), also of Roanoke County, Virginia.

He is survived by his wife Carlene (Wadsworth) Mills, his two children and four grandchildren.

Born in Peru, Indiana, longtime resident of Birmingham, AL, most recently Arab, AL, he served in the US Army at Redstone Arsenal for three years, 1956 – 1959.

He was a graduate of both Birmingham Southern College and University of Montevallo. Mr. Mills also worked as a proud employee of General Electric, Jefferson County Board of Education, Birmingham Southern College, Children's Hospital, Southern Company, and Protective Life.

He was greatly loved and admired by many and will be greatly missed.
