Flossie B. Mitchell, 80 of Gilbert, WV departed this life Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from Pikeville Medical Center. Flossie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved going to church, spending time with her family and friends, listening to gospel music and watching television. She attended the Peaceful Valley Community Church at North Spring.

Born on September 7, 1938 in New Lexington, OH, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Darl Angle (1901-1974) and Frances "Marie" Applegate-Angle (1910-1996). In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Morris Mitchell (1942-2014); her son, David Mitchell (Deceased); grandson, Shawn David Mitchell (2000-2000); sisters, Evelyn Angle-Wolf (Deceased) and one infant sister (Deceased); brother, Steven Angle (Deceased).

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her children, Mark Lewis of Columbus, OH, Rhonda Smith & husband Richard Smith, Jr. of Horsepen and Lanny Mitchell & wife Allison Mitchell of Hanover; grandchildren, Mikey Lee Christian, Doni Jo Lewis, April Dawn Camur, Katelyn Mitchell, Richard Jennings Smith III, Sondra Kay Smith, Aaron Nathaniel Mitchell and Angela Amber Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Joseph Mounts, Mikayla Mounts and Omari Burks; sisters, Jo Ellen Angle and Andrea Angle, both of OH; brother, Billy Angle & wife Margie Angle of NV; daughter-in-law, April Mitchell-Vangelow of OH; and a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, November 17, 2017 from 12:30 to 1:00 pm at the Peaceful Valley Community Church at North Spring, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Alvin Browning and Rev. Danny Ray Mitchell officiating. To honor her wishes, her remains will be cremated following services.
