A native of Walhalla, SC, Mr. Busch was the son of the late of John Henry and Berline Hood Busch. He grew up with the nickname "Snook" based on his father calling him his "snookum" as a baby. John joined the US Navy in 1951 and served his country during the Korean War aboard the USS Owen. After settling in Southern California, John married Barbara Buelow, with whom he shared 48 happy years of marriage. John was a leader in the plastics industry and truly loved his work. He traveled extensively and enjoyed a close camaraderie with friends and colleagues.
John and Barbara relocated to Prescott, Arizona in 1991, where they quickly established many close friends. He continued to work until the very end, driving to Phoenix every week to work at Flex Foam, a job that he loved. After Barbara's passing, John became active in the Prescott Noon Lions Club. John will always be remembered as a friendly, fun-loving person, good friend and loving grandfather. If you met John, you liked him, and if you know John, you loved him.
Mr. Busch is survived by his two sons: John Busch, Jr. of Anaheim, California and David Busch of Buffalo, New York; a brother: Bobby; a sister: Carolyn; and four grandchildren: Meredith, Johnny, Austin and Jenson.
