Anna's parents were John and Mary (Rick) Wills. She spent her childhood in Council Hill, JoDaviess County, Illinois area. She married Harry D. Mickley, Dec. 26, 1896, at Galena, Illinois. They moved to the Franklin County, Iowa area where they farmed. Anna and Harry had one daughter, Mabel (Mickley) Menefee. Anna's obituary stated that she died suddenly on a street in the business district Friday afternoon.
