Her many friends and admirers were deeply grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Albertine Louderback, whose serious illness was mentioned in last week's Herald. Mrs. Louderback seemed very young to have died. She was a woman of youthful appearance and of unusual attraction. She was a one of the rare women to attain a grandmother's estate and retain the exceptional good looks of her younger days. Mrs. Lauderback was gentle, lovable and kind. She will be missed by many friends, and her daughter, Mrs. Frank Deaver, and her son, Cosby Lauderback, have the profound sympathy of all who were so fortunate as to know their gentle mother. Albertine Ruble was born, May 24th 1859 at Taylorsville, Ohio and died September 6, 1917 aged 57 years 3 months and 13 days. On September 27, 1877 she was united in marriage to John Lauderback. To this union three children were born, Nellie E. now Mrs. Francis Deaver of this place and Cosby Louderback of New York City. Little Harry died at the age of four. They lived in Ohio five years and in 1883 came to Doniphan county, Kas. They lived there until the death of the husband and father which occurred six years ago. She then came to Sabetha and made this her home until her death, which occurred at the home of her son-in-law, Frank Deaver. She united with the Christian church at an early age and later united with the M. E. church at this place and was always an earnest follower of the Christ. She had been a great sufferer for the past year but was patient through it all to the very last. She leaves to mourn her loss, her two children, five brothers and one sister in Ohio, and three grandsons. Funeral services were held at one p. m. Sunday at the home of Frank Denver, conducted by Reverend Vernon. The body was taken to Moray near Troy and interred beside her husband. Many friends accompanied the body by motor car.
