A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she died at 11:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at her home after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's. She was 86, a native of New Roads and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Miles Walsh. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Preceded in death by her husband, Roger V. "Mike" Patin Sr.; parents, William and Winnie Guerin Morel; two brothers, Eugene and Joseph William "Billy" Morel Jr.; and a sister, Gertrude Jewell. She was a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church and a former member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and grandsons.
