Funeral services for Mrs. C. E. Williams, 67, resident of 4202 Larchmont Street will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from Wright and Ferguson " Chapel, with Rev. Henry Bennett, pastor of Byram Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Williams died Sunday night at Hinds General Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Georgetown, she was the former Ruby Bernice Allen, daughter of the late John and Ethel Kimble Allen. She had lived in Jackson since 1955, where she was a member of Flagg Chapel Baptist Church. She was employed by H. L Green as a sales clerk for several years, prior her illness.
Survivors are her husband; four sons, Rev. Charles R. Williams, Hattiesburg, A. G. Williams, San Diego, Calif., Rev. Clyde Williams, Mobile, Ala., and James R. Williams, Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Frances) Youngblood, Videlia, La., and Mrs. William (Helen) Posey, Vicksburg; eight Mrs. C. E. Williams 1-14-1 CL.. brothers, Roy Allen, Bilbo Allen, and Barney Allen all of Greenville, Jim Allen, of Brookhaven, Bob Allen and John Earl Allen, both of Georgetown, Frank Allen, Yazoo City, Narvell Allen, Purvis, and T. D. Allen, Seattle, Wash, four sisters, Mrs. Sallie McCardle, Holiday, Fla., Mrs. Quinne Mizell, Shreveport, La., Mrs. Rosalie Middleton, Yazoo City, and Mrs. Ora Nell Mitchell, Jackson; 17 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers are Charles Burton, John Pittman, Tom Purnell, Dan Jackson, Paul Blakley, and Warren Jowers.
