OBITUARY: Larry W. Lucken, May 19, 1932 ~ November 4, 2018 - reprinted from the Wise Family Funeral Home website

Larry William Lucken, age 86, of Hastings, passed away at Regina Medical Center in Hastings on November 4, 2018.

He was born at home on May 19, 1932. He attended country school and graduated from LaMar, IA High School in 1950. He enlisted in the Army for 2 years. Then he attended Dunwoody Institute for TV repair. Later he worked at Southport Airport as a light airplane mechanic. In 1965 he was employed by Vern Donnay in Valley Park and several other builders. In retirement he enjoyed traveling around the US in his small mobile home.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Glenyce Beverly Moser; his parents, Bernard William and Acquina Leone Dilly; and grandson, Brett Allan Thurston.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Leduc Sutila; his children, Brenda (Tracy) Thurston, Scott, James (Lynn) Lucken; grandchildren, Emma and Darrin Thursten, Bendix, Nicolas and Jamie Lucken; step children, Donna (Michael) Nord, Craig (Sharon) Sutila, step grandchildren, Tyler (Krista), Mitchell (fiance, Ivory), and Alex Nord; step great grandchildren, Jace and Harlyn Nord; siblings, Linda Wright and LaRoy Lucken; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service is pending at Wise Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A gathering will be held 90 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials preferred to the Lupus Foundation.
