Elton Jerrell Rice, 74, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his residence in Jay, Oklahoma

Jerrell was born on July 19, 1944 in Forum, Arkansas to Bill and Beulah Rice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and on grandson (Jaron Austin Musteen). He is survived by his wife Connie Rice, four children, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with one on the way, one dog, one cat, four grand-pups, one grand-cat, extended family and many wonderful friends.

Jerrell was a Vietnam Veteran where he earned several medals including a purple heart. He also served in Operation Desert Storm where he served in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. He retired from the Army National Guard after 22 years and from the National Home Center after 21 years. He was a school bus drive in Huntsville, Arkansas and Jay, Oklahoma. Jerrell was a member of Jay First Assembly of God.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Grove-Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Jay First Assembly of God. Jerrell will be laid to rest in the Duffield Cemetery with Military Honors.
