Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wood, Mrs. James Dinwiddle and son Elmer, D. M. Gleason and Raymond Higgins, all relatives, attended the funeral of Mrs. Clara Gleason Barber at Wilmington, Sunday, who died at her home in Colorado a week ago last Wednesday. She was the accomplished daughter of Francis A. Gleason of West Cheshire, Conn., formerly a leading resident of Woodford. Miss Gleason passed her youthful days In this town and several terms was teacher in the public school. There are others besides many relatives in Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts who mourn because of the death of Mrs. Barber. Several years ago Mr. and Mrs. Barber went to Colorado for the benefit or his health and by dispensation of the Divine power she is called away. Mr. Barber's health is not the best, but is better than before he went West.
