Born to John Beikman and Mary Green
Married Beverly (Haymaker) Beikman on October 17, 1970, In Banta.
Daughters: Angela Lenk and Erin (Jeffrey) Pipkin.

Grandchildren: Lauren Lenk , Haleigh (Adam) Gamberg, Sam, Max and Alex Pipkin.

Brothers: John (Crystal) Beikman and David (Fritzie) Beikman.

Sisters: Francie Smith, Kathy (Dave) Matney and Rosie Kronz.

Preceded in death: Father John Beikman and brother Michael Beikman.

Joe lived for his family and spent his happiest years coaching his daughters in basketball, softball and volleyball, helping with 4-H and volunteering at their school activities. He could be found most weekends attending choir, school and sporting events. He also enjoyed woodworking, programming electronics, visiting casinos, and cheering for Perdue and the Indianapolis Colts

Joe graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1970. He spent 37 years with Mooresville's Department of Public Works and was the town's building inspector before retiring in 2013. He was elected to the Mooresville Town Councel in 2014, also serving on the town's Planning and Redevelopment Commission until his death. In 1970s and 1980s, he was a member and chief of the Harrison Twonship Volunteer Fire Department.

Visitation with the family is Tuesday, November 6, 2018, 3 to 8 p.m., at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 39 E. High St., Mooresville. Private graveside services will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Waverly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Community Foundation of Morgan County, where the family hopews to establish a fund in his memory.
