Jeremy Heath Seals

SGT Jeremy H. Seals was born on 29 MAY 1973 in Granada Hills, California. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas in 1992. In 1995 he took Network and Computer Science college courses, with support classes in physics and programming, in Kentucky and Tennessee. An avid reader and writer of science fiction, SGT Seals, as a civilian, has written more than a million words of his own sci-fi stories, has been published twice as an editor of a magazine in Nashville, TN and has published his own novel. SGT Seals enlisted in the Army in MARCH 2008. After BCT at Ft. Jackson, he graduated from AIT, 25B MOS training, at Ft. Gordon in August of 2008. His first duty assignment was with HHC 2-502nd Infantry Battalion (Strike Force), 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell. There he served for 3 years as the Battalion’s Chief IMO. While with the 2-502nd, he was deployed for 1 year in Afghanistan, where he received 2 AMMs, an AGCM and a CAB. SGT Seals reported to his second duty station in October of 2011, where he served with HHD, 39th Signal Battalion. While there he attended WLC, received one MOVSM for volunteer service, one AAM, a second AGCM and a COA. He also re-enlisted for 3 more years of service while stationed with the 39th Sig. In November of 2013, he reported to his third duty station at HHC 5-101st Aviation Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. With the 5-101 AVN, SGT Seals served again as the Chief IMO. While with the 5-101, SGT Seals received an ACM for his service to both his Battalion and Brigade.

SGT Seals ended his military contract as an Active Duty Soldier on April 19th, 2016. He enlisted with the Tennessee National Guard, unit 2-178th, Troop D in May 2016. In October 2016, SGT Seals transferred to the Warrior Transition Battalion (and back to Active Duty) at Fort Campbell while he engaged in a protracted fight for his life against stage 4 stomach cancer. In September 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. SGT Seals will be sadly missed by his wife of 12 years, Tori Seals; daughter, Kathrine; son, Robert and granddaughter, Zoe Preceded in death by fathers Dan and Marcus, survived by mothers Andi and Carol; Tori’s parents, Susan and Robert; sister Holley; brothers Jesse, Jim and Justice.
