1935 - 2018
Early Life: Carol was born May 26, 1935, in Provo, Utah, to John Hans and Nettie Winterton Kuhni, the youngest of their eight children. She graduated from Provo High School and attended Brigham Young University. In her youth, she worked at her family’s rendering plant, where she learned accounting and finance.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On May 23, 1956, Carol was sealed to Fredrick Orral "Fred" Huntington in the Manti Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together, Carol and Fred raised two children whom she loved with her whole self. She also worked hard to build and own a number of successful motels in the Intermountain Region. Carol shared a special relationship with young children, with whom she would spend hours playing and created bonds, spanning generations. She was fiercely dedicated to her family and those close to her; she showed her love through generosity. Carol was well-known for her quick wit, strong opinions, and good fun. She held the special titles of Grammy and Auntie Carol which extended beyond her family. She held a strong faith that wouldn’t be shaken by trials or judgement from others.
