Kathlene "Kay" Utter, 79, of Grayslake, passed away on November 2, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family.
Kay was born January 3, 1939, in Lima, WI, to Lee and Margaret Collins. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She was a beloved mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Kay is survived by her children, Mark (Deb) Utter, Linda (Joe) Ludford, Valerie (Kevin) Wold and Vincent (Gabriela) Utter; her grandchildren, Jordan and Natasha Seger, Scott (Brittany) and Steven (Caitlin) Wold, Monica, David and Morgan Ludford, Jamie and Ashley Utter, Gabe Roman, Fotini and Curt Utter; her great-grandchildren; Ava, Kali, Vera, Joshua, Kylie and Brett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Utter; her sons, David and Curtis; her granddaughter, Margaret Rose Ludford; her parents; and brother, Joseph Collins.
Friends of the family may visit on Sunday November 4, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL.
The funeral service is scheduled for Monday November 5, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be held at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake.
