Leroy A. Breach, 93, of Mifflinville, passed away on Oct. 29, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Catawissa, on April 27, 1925, he was the son of the late Allen Breach Sr. and Elsie (Richards) Breach. He attended Mifflinville High School and worked at McGee Carpet Company for 43 years before retiring.
Leroy was a member of Mifflinville United Methodist Church, where he helped make Easter eggs for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 273, Bloomsburg. He liked to go fishing, especially with his son, and occasionally hunted. He enjoyed listening to polka and country western music. Leroy had a passion for woodworking and made many crafts over the years. He helped his son with electrical work when he needed an extra hand. He loved his dog, Barney, who was always at his side.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth “Liz” M. (John) Breach, Mifflinville; son, John Breach, Mifflinville; grandson, Tyler Breach; sisters: Bertha Switzer, Catawissa, Janice Weaver, Sugarloaf, Carol Woodruff, Danville, Lorraine Braden, Bethlehem; many nieces and nephews, including Thelma Allen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Allen “Sonny” Breach and Guy Breach; sisters: Jacqueline Traugh and Margaret Hunsinger.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Mifflinville United Methodist Church, Market and East Fourth streets, Mifflinville, with his pastor, the Rev. Dr. R. Kenneth Gunter. Interment will follow at Mifflinville Cemetery, Mifflinville. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
