Lavaune Glen Arndt, 91, passed away October 27, 2018. He was born January 6, 1927 in Clinton County, Indiana, a son of Samuel H. and Hazel Grace ((McKenzie) Arndt.

On September July 17, 1954, he was married to Verna E. (Bacon) Clements; she preceded him in death. He later married Lydia Ann (Zychalski) Murray-Arndt; she survives.

Lavaune was a 1945 graduate of Frankfort High School. He served his county honorably in the U.S. Army as a medical technician with the 58th Signal Battalion in Kyoto, Japan.

He was a member of Lebanon Wesleyan Church in Lebanon and a member of Local #933 of the United Auto Workers of America for thirty-six years.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia Arndt, Step Children, Bonnie Lee (Larry) Perdue, Mary Bell Huffer, Michael Murray, Charles (Shannon) Murray, Jeremy Murray, Eleven Step Grandchildren, and Twelve Step Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and first wife, Lavaune was preceded in death by three step-children, Betty Jean Perry, Charles R. Clements and Larry L. Clements; and one sister, Vera Faye (Lewis) Schimmel.

Visitation will take place on October 31, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services are to be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment with Military Rites will follow services at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort, Indiana.
