Nana Hodges, daughter of the late Elihu Jones, Sr., and Bethany McAlister Jones, was born on Jan. 10, 1928, at Clarksville, Ark., and died on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter at the age of 76.

Mrs. Hodges attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter. She was united in marriage to Paul Hodges on Oct. 11, 1944, at Matthews. Mr. Hodges survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, survivors include two sons, Doyal Hodges of St. Louis and Patrick Hodges of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Paula Ulmer of Treadwell, N.Y., and Katrina Hatfield of Fenton; two brothers, Ira Jones and Elihu Jones, Jr., both of Clarksville, Ark.; three sisters, Eula Owens of Lamar, Ark., Iva Rushing of Clarksville, Ark., and Earlene Davis of Russellville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Hodges; four brothers; and three sisters. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating.

Interment will follow in the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery.
