Abraham J Asche, 71, a Lawyer and Officer of Fertilizer Concern
Abraham J. Asche, a New York City lawyer and business executive, died Saturday after a short illness at Mount Sinai Hospital. He was 71 years old.
Mr. Asche, a resident of Manhattan, was admitted to the bar in 1929 after attending Brooklyn Law School. After 43 years of private practice, he became general counsel for the Beker Industries Corporation, a chemical fertilizer company. At his death, he was senior vice president and a director of the company.
He served as a lieutenant with the Navy in World War II and was a trustee of Temple Israel of Manhattan.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marjorie Ernst; a son, Richard, and a daughter, Judith Stoll, both of Manhattan; a sister, Esther of Brooklyn, and two grandsons.
