The Fairbury Journal-George Michels died Wednesday, Oct. 28th, 1913, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lena Pleis, wife of Henry Pleis residing on a farm between Gladstone and Fairbury.
Mr. Michels has lived at Steele City with his son, Martin, for some time, but has been at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pleis since he was taken sick, early in June. His wife has been dead for a long time. He leaves three grown children, Mrs. Henry Pleis, near Fairbury, Martin Michels at Steele City, and Mrs. Ben Hickens of Helvey, Nebraska. The deceased was born May 26, 1849, in Germany.
The funeral occurs Friday from the Henry Pleis residence at 9:30 a. m., Rev. Holder officiating. Burial in the Gladstone cemetery.
